RULES & REGULATIONS:
``Image restrictions!!! No signature or board image should be larger than 450 in width. Anything larger than that will stretch the board. Avatar width should be 150 or lower.
``Character restrictions!!! For every two females you create, you need to make one male.
``Activity!!! You should be able to post with each of your characters at least once a week. If you’re going on a trip, please post in our absence board. If you’re leaving the site, please post in the absence board with a farewell or PM a staff member so we can move your account(s) to inactive.
``Content!!! No inappropriate content on the site. Inappropriate images will be deleted and you will be given a warning. If it happens again, you’ll be banned from the site. Also, no inappropriate role-playing. We run on the PG-13 rule. No vivid sex threads. You can have before and after, but not any details.
``Posting!!! Posts should be at least a paragraph long. A paragraph consists of at least 5 sentences. That’s our minimum, a paragraph. Try and keep your spelling clean. No chat speak in role-plays. Put a little effort into your writing.
``No out of character drama!!! We promote drama in plots, but out of character is not allowed. Don’t give out your phone number, address, or any other personal information through our board. If you want to meet up with people you’ve met online, talk to them on IM or something instead.
``Time appropriate writing!!! It’s not a big deal if you mix a couple little things up, but keep in mind that Marauders Era is in the 70’s. There are no Starbucks runs, cell phone calls, online chats, or anything else of that nature. If you want to contact someone, owl them. Try and be a little realistic.
``Respect your staff and fellow members!!! If a staff member tells you not to do something, just listen and don’t make a huge fuss. Don’t be rude to other members of the site.
``Creative thinking!!! We don’t mind if you play an average character, but don’t turn them into a Mary-Sue. A Mary-Sue (or Gary Stu if male) is a character who is perfect. They have no flaws and never do anything wrong. All people and characters have flaws. Make your characters realistic.
``No God-Moding. God-moding is when you are posting the other character’s actions. You are responsible only for your own character and are not to god-mode at any point. The only time this is acceptable is in special situations or during a staff thread that carries through a site-wide plot.
