NORA LYNN BELL
LORE , 17 , RAVENCLAW, SAOIRSE RONAN
INTEGRITOUS, QUIET, SINCERE, COMPASSIONATE, INTELLIGENT[/CENTER]
Somethin’ filled up
my heart with nothin’,
someone told me not to cry.
But now that I’m older,
my heart’s colder,
and I can see that it’s a lie.

This isn't to say I don't love them. I follow after my mother, demonstrating affection through dutiful care and honest advice rather then gregarious or overt displays. Sometimes I question if my methods are sufficient, but I suppose that isn't relevant to this report...
NOTE TOSSED TO A FRIEND IN 6TH YEAR
If you're reading this, you've solved the latest riddle. If you've been quick enough about it, you'll have time to catch me me before I board the evening train... though I suspect you'll fail as you have with the others.
Remember how you coaxed me back into breathing on our first boat ride? I nearly imploded out of fear and anxiety - all those unfamiliar faces and looming responsibilities. I'd been frigid toward you, cold as a child could be in avoiding your invitations to play in favor of pursuing my own interests and yet you still showed merciful understanding. In retrospect, I know it's your unwavering kindness which kept me happy in secret - even while I was cloistered away cataloging scarab breeds or memorizing centaur battle poetry or being consumed with whatever bizarre fixation of the day had me in its unflinching grasp. You've been generous toward me in ways I'm entirely undeserving, and one day I will tell you this in a manner not shielded by an indecipherable word puzzle charm.
Yours, Lore.
RANT PENNED A FEW WEEKS AGO
I've come to know a great truth. I've always thought my great grandfather a fool - irresponsible, stupid and shortsighted. While this may be an apt description of the man it is not he that was the fool but I. For all that can be said of what Edwin Bell did and did not do, this is certain: the man lived. He ate and drank in excess, carried on sordid affairs, traveled without purpose, gambled and lost.
I should aspire to know such risk, abandon my incessant knowing for the unknown. The closest I've come to peril is attempting to match my siblings at broom flying - and in these perilous times no less! Death stalks the castle and my studying continues on unabated. I've made a tremendous effort of remaining invisible during my quiet stay at Hogwarts. I would not blame a classmate who claimed to not know me, but perhaps the time to relinquish my anonymity is come.
A few important points to keep in mind while you embark on this endeavor:
-Don't laugh. Your laugh is impish and peculiar.
-Don't offer information or opinion unless it is solicited.
-Don't talk to yourself. People find this disconcerting.
