----Explanation of'Wizarding Blood
--Purebloods
A witch or wizard of 'pure' wizarding ancestry, without any Muggle ancestors whatsoever as far as can be determined.
Purebloods, where people sometimes think their quite common in the wizarding world, are wrong. Purebloods are rare. Purebloods come from long ancient lines of purebloods, which have been held intact by marriage between 'purebloods'. Pureblood families could even go back thousand years into the past.
The most extreme purebloods can even believe that 'purebloods' are a seperate race from muggles. Hence they believe they stand above muggles and 'half-breeds' (half-bloods), and sometimes even consider muggles as 'beasts'.
--Half-bloods
A witch or wizard with at least one wizarding parent but at least one Muggle parent or grandparent.
When you're half-blood, it doesn't mean one parents has to be a muggle. It could be your parents are both wizards, but both half-bloods as well. Much of the wizarding world falls into this catogory. Without marrying muggles, the wizarding race might have died out decades ago.
--Muggleborn
Wizarding person born of two Muggle parents.
A muggleborn is a child born from two Muggle parents, the parents have no magical abilities at all. A muggleborn can possess the same amount of magical abilities then children born from wizarding families. Being a Muggleborn, does not mean your less then any other wizarding person or are any less powerful in preforming and learning magic.

Blood Traitors are also Pureblooded wizarding people who respect half-bloods and muggles, and threat them equally. A Squib can't cast spells, but they can however see magical beings such as poltergeists and ghosts, although not Dementors.
