I WANT A COIN OPERATED BOY, WITH A PRETTY COIN OPERATED VOICE SAYING THAT HE LOVES ME AND HE'S THINKING OF ME. STRAIGHT AND TO THE POINT. THAT IS WHY I WANT A COIN OPERATED BOY

The grass was creeping up on the stone pathway, crawling between the cracks, and for all intensive purposes trying desperately to trip up those who dared step down upon it's fragile leaves. Ollie's sneakers scuffed up the walkway, her hands were stuck firmly in the back pockets of her jeans, and her icy eyes blurred the ground before her. The afternoon sun burned into the atmosphere, the stuffy smells of the last few summer days wafting up around her. Ollie didn't pay attention to the weather, except for the mildly uncomfortable feeling that settled in her armpits and stuck her hair to the back of her neck. Her mind was instead paging through the many volumes of parchment that remained blank, sitting there in her Hogwarts Chest, waiting for her heart to explain itself.
Ollie had learned to take her worries outdoors, and so she walked to try and understand herself. She couldn't figure out this one problem festering in her sex organs. Never had Ollie attached herself to a boy, whether in her year at school, wandering the streets of London during the summer holiday, or parading around in the few years below her. Not once had she found herself falling hard for her potions partner, and what was even more unnerving, she stayed up late listening to the gossip of the other girls and hearing in great detail, their many sex stories. Ollie spent enough time around animals to know that sexual attraction and mindless reproduction were the ways of the world, and she felt quite distraught at the thought of being so separated from nature.
Ollie wasn't broken, however often she convinced herself that things just didn't fire right. She had attractions, but all were different, all were alien, and all were very strong. She couldn't bathe with any of the girls in her year, and was sure that many assumed she was just all too shy. In reality, Ollie was starting to realize that girls got her hot and bothered. She let her secret well up inside of her for so long, but now, walking along a random, aimless path outside, she felt free of it at last. A slight breeze rolled in, taking her hair away behind her, and lifting her eyes to the sky. Mother nature would be the first to know it, and Ollie felt confident that she'd keep her secret well, until she was ready to let the world know...at least the part of the world that really cared. She leaned against a tree, her hair tangling in its bark, and closed her eyes, letting her heart open wide for the first time in a long while.
