WILL YOU PERSIST EVEN AFTER I BET YOU A BILLION DOLLARS THAT I'LL NEVER LOVE YOU AND WILL YOU PERSIST EVEN AFTER I KISS YOU GOOD BYE FOR THE LAST TIME WILL YOU KEEP ON TRYING -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For some reason Ollie cut short her adventures outdoors and wandered back into the Gryffindor common room at a little after three in the afternoon. She had been out searching the edges of the forbidden forest for doxies, a small fairy prone to biting. It was next on her list of things to find and note, possibly catch, and try to tame. However, before finding the seriously misunderstood creature, Ollie had become crestfallen and slow. It was like her stomach had just been filled with stones, or that her feet had been jinxed haphazardly with a placement charm. It just didn't seem fun anymore to search for something that never came, and she gave a sigh, turned around and marched herself back into the commons. The fire was crackling, though the weather wasn't nearly cold yet, and the commons were generally welcoming. Ollie grabbed a chair near the window and plopped down extremely ungracefully.
She threw her legs over the armrest and tapped her fingers on the glass, watching the clouds move silently across the sky. Something in them was melancholy, but calm and resilient. They moved over the grounds like guardians. She continued to gaze out the window, letting her eyes catch on the grass and the trees, finding the tallest and hoping to find a hawk or even a phoenix resting on their branches. She was tall and lanky, and spread across that chair like there was nothing more comfortable in the world. Her hair had pieces of twigs and dirt messed on in with the strange color somewhere between red and blond, and Ollie most likely looked all too butch to be as thin and naturally pretty as she really was. Too bad, she liked being that way. In a sense, she really felt at home. Now, to ponder why she felt so odd just a few moments ago. A tune floated into her throat and she started mumbling. "Hogwarts. Hogwarts. Hoggy, warty, hogwarts, teach us something please..." As a seventh year, she almost expected the school to give her an answer, it usually did, in it's own strangely magical way.

Joe wasn't really sure what was wrong with him, what he knew was that he didn't like it. He had woken up really late in the afternoon, about two in the afternoon according to the huge, brass muggle alarm clock beside of him. Magic may short out electricity, but good ol' fashioned clockwork never seemed to fail. When he pried his eyes open, Joe squinted hard at the ceiling of his bed, the curtains drawn around him causing the sunlight to appear as a faint crimson glow. He sighed heavily and rubbed the sleep from his eyes, feeling a heavy heart resting in his chest. Every single beat it gave felt like such a chore, like it wanted nothing more than to quit, and only kept the blood flowing because it had no other choice. The Gryffindor pulled himself into a sitting position and sighed heavily, his blankets a mess around his body. He had been thrashing in his sleep again, and felt slightly embarrassed at what the ruckus from his bed must have sounded like. No matter though, for the room sounded empty of his fellow fifth years, but Joe wasn't ready to pull the curtains back to check. He felt alone right now, and preferred it that way when depression ate away at him like this. Joe wasn't the kind of person to take his sadness around other people, and hid away whenever it became too much to hide. Joe dozed in and out of conscious for almost another hour before it started to bother him. He wasn't sure what was the matter with him, but he felt as though he could just lay back down in bed and cry all day. As hard as he racked his brain to figure out what had him so down, he couldn't come up with a straight answer, and figured it was just something he had to shake off. Swinging his legs over the side of his bed and yanking back the curtains, the dark haired boy quickly slid on a pair of worn out black jeans and a gray t-shirt. It was a Saturday, and simplicity called to him from his wardrobe. After pulling a grey skullcap down over his curly mess of hair, and slipping on his red Chucks, he grabbed his hackey sack off the night stand. Footbag was an American sport he had heard about over the summer, and it was starting to catch on elsewhere too. Sliding down the rail of the stairs, he landed at the bottom and noticed a 7th year sprawled out like a house cat on one of the armchairs and singing softly to herself. The girl was quite pretty, but looked like she just got back from chasing unicorns in the Forest or something. "Hello!" he said to the girl with a smile, stopping on his way to the portrait hole. "You'd think after five years I'd be out of stupid questions, but do you think they'd still feed me a bit of breakfast if I got down to the great hall fast enough?" He asked her. Food always put him in a better mood, but his lazy nature was against letting him take the chance of walking all the way down there, only to be rejected 'till dinner time.

WILL YOU PERSIST EVEN AFTER I BET YOU A BILLION DOLLARS THAT I'LL NEVER LOVE YOU AND WILL YOU PERSIST EVEN AFTER I KISS YOU GOOD BYE FOR THE LAST TIME WILL YOU KEEP ON TRYING -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ollie sat up, at once alerted to the sound of a voice. her gaze shifted quickly from the outside world to the inside, at a boy, almost already out the portrait. It was the afternoon, Ollie felt sure of that, and he was inquiring into breakfast. Of course she was used to waking up at dawn, with the sun, and dancing throughout the day with the chipper morning person feeling, but she was still always shocked that people could sleep in so long. Ollie gave him a smile and though she couldn't remember what year he was she knew that he was younger. Having grown up here and spent seven years learning the quirks of Hogwarts, Ollie knew better than to run down to the great hall deep into the afternoon.
Awkwardly sitting up, her legs toppling over themselves, and reaching into her back pocket, Ollie pulled out twelve inches of black walnut. Her hand gently wielded the and, enjoying the cool feeling it gave to her slightly dirty, long fingered hands. "Save your legs kid." She smiled and waved her wand. "Accio it." Ollie's voice was cool and sweet as it slowly filled the otherwise empty common room. It was too nice of a day to be sitting inside, and her voice seemed to resonate with the warmth of the sun. Her eyes were the color of the grass when it met the sky off in the horizon, and her skin was freckled like mud that had been splashed up at a white wall. Ollie was the embodiment of the outdoors, and here she was, inside. Her smiled disappeared ever so slightly and with a quieter droll she spoke. "Accio pastry."
Through the corridors the jelly roll whizzed, up from the kitchens where a plate was always stocked with them for Rita Skeeter, the biggest fan of pastries you'd ever meet. Sitting up fully, Ollie waited for the food to come flying past the portrait of the Fat Lady, who still had a little weakness for jelly, and hovered just above her chair. She nodded at the boy, finally remembering his name from quidditch. "There you go. Whatever your stomach desires..." She let out a cute little snort and then slid back down into a slouch.

As she moved, spoke, and acted, Joe thought, and simply couldn't figure her out. She was oddly dirty, but not enough to be unattractive, just enough to seem adventurous. Her movements were strong, but not as feminine as the usual girl, he was actually pretty sure this girl could take him in a fist fight. Well as a seventh year, she could probably take him in a duel as well. Of course that wasn't saying much, a third year could probably take him. Joe was awful at magic and knew it, he only kept his grades up in the bookwork and the classes he didn't use magic in; the practical tests destroyed him, and teachers usually took pity on the poor Gryffindor, letting him take comprehensive tests instead so he could still make a good grade. Again, lost in thought, Joe missed her words, and only noticed her wand out just in time to see her cast a spell. His hand shot into his pocket for his own, but stopped when he saw her intentions didn't seem hostile. Turning to see what she had tried to summon, he gave a short yell of surprise and reached out, snatching the muffin out of the air, stopping it just a second short of splattering the back of his head. The gooey pastry squished between his fingers, and Joe sighed grumpily, trudging over to a nearby waste bin and flicking the remains into it. It was embarrassing, he couldn't even have magically cleaned up a squished muffin. Her added comments seemed a little harsh, what his stomach desired certainly wasn't trash muffin. Trying to think of something to distract from his nice catch, and the mess of the baked goods he had created, Joe started the small talk. "So, other than attacking underclassmen with pastries, what do you do around Hogwarts on a Saturday?" [sorry if I misinterpreted your post, it was a little confusing D: I'm a little rusty with my roleplaying]

WILL YOU PERSIST EVEN AFTER I BET YOU A BILLION DOLLARS THAT I'LL NEVER LOVE YOU AND WILL YOU PERSIST EVEN AFTER I KISS YOU GOOD BYE FOR THE LAST TIME WILL YOU KEEP ON TRYING -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- With another snort, Ollie's hand covered her mouth in slight embarrassment. The boy was standing with the smashed food and Ollie did feel a little bad about it, but she never wanted to attack him with the pastry. It was supposed to be a nice gesture, but Ollie was usually perceived differently. It was a little comical to think about though, if she had been prone to attacking students with summoned breakfast tarts and the like, she certainly wouldn't discriminate between upper and underclassmen. She smiled at him and sat up in her chair, hopefully looking a little more approachable. "I'm sorry kid. Never meant to hit ya with it, just trying to save you a trip to the kitchens." She was laid back and lazy, it was the weekend, and she was a seventh year, how could she not be. The boy looked like his weekends were spent lazily as well, and Ollie was happy for the change of pace. Talking was much more interesting than windows.
She stood up and held out her hand for the boy. "Well usually I'm outside, but inside seemed more intriguing today. You're on the quidditch team eh? I'm Ollie, in case you didn't know." Her hand waved awkwardly in the air for a hand shake, some people were still old fashioned like that, Ollie being one of them. She offered up her hand in sign of acquaintance and friendship as long as nothing went sour. It was her way of giving everyone a chance when they could easily just break your fingers. The common room was empty but for them, and the smell of breakfast wafting through the air. The afternoon was easing into dusk, with a warm orange glow, but for now, the two of them would just pretend it was morning and enjoy the glorious Hogwarts taste of jelly and bread.
[your post was totally cool ^__^ dont worry about it]
