I was talking to Jade in the chat box and we got into it about quidditch. And we both had kind of discussed various ways of how to determine winners and losers and stuff like that. We thought that a good system would be the honor system ( of making sure that you don't make your character out to be the best at quidditch and at the same time allowing you to make decisions like dodging bludgers and the like ) and a coin-flip for any qoals, snitch catches, and/or ultimate winning status.
We also thought that it would be a good idea to plan out a day to have the quidditch game. That way all members could know when to be on to either enjoy it in the stands or participate. I think we'd have a separate thread for the stands and one for the game. The posts could have a maximum word count to keep things moving or something like that.
We just thought it would be fun to get in a game or two, though it's understandable that it might not happen right away with all of the current plots and happenings going on. I also think that we could be thinking of the house points as well. Making things more like hogwarts.
I liked Tippy's idea of giving each post a worth of like 5 points and totaling them around the time we give out of the month awards...that way we don't miss any or get behind and have people pestering about changing the totals. I also think that it's a good idea because it promotes activity and kind of a house rivalry between members which is fun. Even though we all have loads of characters...and like myself, one in every house, it'll still be fun. I think it's a pretty even competition. So those are my ideas for site things, uhm, yeah...didn't mean to make this so long sorry.
