monday history of magic dear ryan, i'm fine. thanks. things are just really different here than i'm used to, i guess. i could really use some help getting to know people and getting to know the school itself. i don't really know who to trust around here. any advice for the new girl? -terria "kya"

Monday History of Magic dear terria, well for one be careful at parties, a lot of people are good and you can be casual friends with them at the very least, but be careful what you drink. i know it is a bit late for that, but keep that in mind. as far as getting around the school goes, just focus on where you classes are first and then slowly branch out, this place is rather large, so you do not want to get lost. as far as actually trusting people, trust the more quiet crowd and the people that try to stay out of trouble. more than likely, you will end up making some good friends there. after that you may be able to branch out more, but don't go too overboard. - ryan.

monday history of magic dear ryan, haha, yeah. i learned the lesson on no taking drinks from strangers. hey, i can't help it. i'm originally from greece and the hospitality there seems very different than here. thanks for all the advice though. i'm going to need it. i have been getting lost left and right and a slytherin girl locked me in the bathroom with a crying ghost yesterday. who are your friends? are they nice? -terria "kya"

Monday History of Magic dear terria, yeah, i have heard that greece is very different from around here. i grew up here so i am very used to the customs that we have. it is not a problem at all as far as the advice goes, whatever i can do to help. my friends are good people, but probably not the people you want to start making friends with yet. could i suggest coraline tawfeek, maybe? she is a rather quiet girl, and has been very nice to me when she talks to me. she seems like a good person to talk to. there are other people like her around, so i am sure you could find them. - ryan.

Monday History of Magic dear terria, yeah, but unfortunately it isn't the same for every person. the only person that i think you really should avoid is a guy in slytherin named holden avery. everyone else you just have to figure out as you go. have you been to the three broomsticks yet by the way? - ryan.

Monday History of Magic dear terria, it is a pub, but they have a lot of regular drinks since students go there a lot. they have this thing called a butterbeer, it is a soda that it is very famous for having. we could go there sometime if you want. you could see if you like it or not. - ryan.

Monday History of Magic dear terria, we can go any weekend scheduled to allow us to go to hogsmeade. as long as you have the paper signed by your guardian you should be fine. if not just get it signed before the next one coming up and we can go then. - ryan.

monday history of magic dear ryan, sounds like a plan. i remember having my grandma sign a permission slip for me, but i didn't really know what hogsmeade was. i guess everyone around here is used to this kind of stuff, trips to the village and everything. and quidditch seems like a big deal here. the first match is soon. do you play? -terria "kya"

Monday History of Magic dear terria, the village is a pretty awesome place to go. it is better than being stuck in the castle all the time, since this is a boarding school. i am sure you will enjoy the three broomsticks and all that. i play quidditch, i am a chaser for the gryffindor team. i am looking forward to it, it should be a lot of fun. - ryan.

monday history of magic dear ryan, i'm still getting used to this whole boarding school thing. i used to home-school so, everything's completely different now. there are so many strange rules too! never in my life have i had to raise my hand to use the restroom. for this quidditch stuff, what colors do i wear? do i just wear my house colors? or am i allowed to support your team? you're the only person i even know who plays quidditch. -terria "kya"

Monday History of Magic dear terria, i agree the raising hand to go to the bathroom thing is rather silly, and i have been in this school all my life. as for the colors, it is the right thing to wear your house colors, but if your house isn't playing you can make some posters for the house you are supporting. so it is fine to support my team when your house's team isn't playing at all. i always appreciate the support. - ryan.
