hey guys, this is terria. she was pretty much created as a love interest for ryan willis. i want her to have a lot more to her than just that though. first off, she's a vampire and this is her first time in a real school system. she was home schooled at home in greece where she grew up. her parents were murdered in a hate crime because they were raising a monster, terria. it was out of sheer luck and coincidence that terria herself wasn't killed. she moved in with her grandmother after the death of her parents. she begged to go off to school because she needed a change.

terria generally goes by kya, her middle name. her grandmother's name is terrya (pronounced the same way) so, terria has been called kya since she was a little girl. people around the school would probably just call her terria or newton though, since she doesn't many friends. she's a ravenclaw 6th year, so i imagine she'd interact with the other girls in her year/house. i'm sure we could do something with her and molly penderghast and rita skeeter.

terria's whole vampire life is kind of a secret. dumbledore knows what terria is and some of her professors know she's very different. she doesn't want other students getting to know her though. she doesn't talk much and she doesn't make any effort to interact with people. she mostly just tries to get through her classes and she's still in a grieving period because of the loss of her parents. she cries a lot, but is extremely secretive about it. she loves music and can play several instruments as well as sing. she is so shy though that she wouldn't want anyone to hear her. she hides her love for music almost as much as her vampire life.

terria really, obviously, does not fit in around the school. most students start at their first year, whereas terria is new. i'm thinking, we could do a lot with rumors and stuff. people can spend time talking about her and picking on her. even if it's only half-hearted, i'm thinking they could view her as an outsider. she won't have anyone to sit next to at dinner or do homework with in the common room. she's like an alien from another planet, even if they don't know what she really is.

also, just to keep things really clear, we're going to really, really basic forms of vampires. this is not like twilight or anything. terria isn't immortal, she doesn't sparkle. she does live by a sort of "vegan" vampire system. she can eat normal food, but it doesn't really process the same way and it doesn't fill her appetite at all. she doesn't have blood thirsty urges, those tendencies are only common in very early stages of transformation. she drinks animal blood, but loses weight very easily because it's not the same as human blood. every once in a while, if her weight goes down too much, she'll get blood from a hospital that was donated. she feels guilty doing so, but it's one of the few options she has. she sleeps, like other people. she functions the same way. being a vampire isn't all that horrible, it's just different. she's certainly not vicious or bad. some vampires use their transformation as an excuse to kill. terria lived a really sheltered life. she has never murdered anyone.

for obvious reasons, terria doesn't keep pets. she gets upset pretty easily, but doesn't know how to deal with it so, she just keeps hiding things from everyone. that's pretty much it. if you want to plot, please, have a go. =)

Nate & Terria
Nate probably openly speculates about her with the rest of the school, but he’s not mean spirited about it. Just your typical Ravenclaw curiosity. Since he’s got his own group of friends, I can’t see him being especially warm, like reaching out to befriend her or sitting next to her at breakfast. It’s not like he’s trying to be exclusive, he just forgets that she hasn’t had six years to make friends and might need some help.

Ludo & Terria
They’re going to encounter each other on the pitch. Ludo’s curious about her quidditch skills, but once they have their first match against each other all will be revealed, so I guess that won’t go very far.

Gracie & Terria
Gracie is drawn to Terria because she’s new and Gracie doesn’t know anything about her, but she’d like to! Gracie would chat her up all the time and try to partner with her in class, but since Terria isn’t very warm or interactive in her response, Gracie doesn’t really try to take it further. There’s got to be a warm, or a perceived warm, response for Gracie to cling to someone.

Rodolphus & Terria
Yeah, he doesn’t like her. Don’t feel bad, Roddy only likes Slytherins and purebloods, and even then it’s touch and go.

Mar & Terria
Haha, well, Mar is terrified of vampires. The whole blood thing absolutely freaks her out. You mentioned that Mar should just come into contact with Terria constantly and never know she’s interacting with a vampire, and then one day, SURPRISE! I love it! Mar loves to tease Ryan about the relationship because he's so uptight about it. She, like everyone else, is pretty curious about Terria. New student, on the quidditch team but no one’s seen her play, she never wants to come out and have a time [just like Ryan...]. Mar is convinced she’s snotty and thinks she’s too good for the rest of the school, which makes her wonder why Terria’s even attending Hogwarts. If they keep having interactions where Terria isn’t the snotty prat Mar thinks she is, it could eventually develop into friendship of sorts.

Lucy & Terria
Lucy is very musical, just like Terria. Perhaps they could bond over that a bit? I feel like Lucy would find Terria just so romantic. She seems so sad all the time, and just terribly lonely, and Lucy’s probably got it in her head that Terria’s mourning something [which she is, but Lucy doesn’t know that] and it’s all super tragic, and it’s kind of just up Lucy’s alley, honestly, because she’s super into the doomed romance thing. Lucy’s determined enough that she wouldn’t be put off Terria’s attempts to be a loner and not talk to anyone, she’d probably just chat until Terria told her to go away, and then she’d probably keep chatting about Ludo anyway. I don’t think it would be a real friendship or anything since Lucy’s so young and immature, but perhaps a bit of a casual friendship could develop over time?

Greg & Terria
Well, she’s going to be dating Ryan, and Kevin doesn’t like her. I think that just to be contrary, Greg will go out of his way to be friendly to her. He doesn’t really get what’s got Kevin all riled up, but Terria seems to be doing good things for Ryan, so Greg found himself on Ryan’s side for this one, haha. He’s super friendly to her all the time, and has pretty much just decided that she’s already in the family. Partially because it drives Kevin nuts, partially because he actually likes her. Even if she is weird.

Probably not a whole lot of plotting to be done with Garrett, Thomas, or Flora.
