Okay, so I've got three characters that could be fun to plot with! Two Ravenclaws and a Hufflepuff coming right up!
Greg & Emmeline Gregory is a fifth year Hufflepuff, so they'd be in some classes together. Okay, well, I think this could be a failed friendship. Greg's eldest brother is a Ravenclaw and head boy and very much the Perfect Ravenclaw, and perhaps when Emme realized that he had a brother in her year, she tried to strike up a conversation. You know, make some intellectual friends. Because even though he's not a Ravenclaw, how different could siblings be? Very different. (: Greg's pretty much the slacker of his family, and he wouldn't even be good to keep around for some debates or bickering because he just dodges every question or accusation. Perhaps he just gets on her nerves completely, and she can't help but try to rile him up with some of that blunt, sarcastic quick-wittedness? In return, Greg can try to rile her up by, well, being himself? If that makes any sense at all. :/ They just rub each other the wrong way, basically.
Lucy & Emmeline Another dislike. Lucy's not exactly your typical Ravenclaw. She's very boy crazy, and although she's musical and intellectual, it's kind of overshadowed by the boy crazy bit. I'm sure Emme would think she's a disgrace to the Ravenclaw house, and she could even give Lucy some tough love on the subject if you want.
Nathan & Emmeline Nate's a seventh year, but I think these two could get along. Nate's quick witted and a fast talker and he could certainly offer Emme some debate and intellectual challenges. He certainly likes to talk. He's got two younger sisters, and I feel like he'd probably treat Emme the same way he treats them. Lots of loud and fun debates, and some of that special brand of Ravenclaw teasing. "Oh, only a 98 on that exam! I got a 99 on that one..."

Greg & Emmeline While I do like the idea of Greg annoying Em, I'm trying to imagine how we could keep them together long enough to do a thread. I mean, she'd likely lose patience with him and simply walk away. But maybe, since they're both 5th years, they could be assigned to do a project together? This way they would have to deal with eachother? I dunno, do you have any other ideas?
Lucy & Emmeline I think we could do some pretty funny threads with this one. They are polar opposites, and I could see them offering eachother surprising insights. Like you said, Emmeline would probably dislike Lucy's presence in Ravenclaw and think of her as a Hufflepuff. But I could also see her feeling a little bad about leaving a naive girl to fend for herself (even Em has a heart waaay deep down there) and helping her out a bit, especially since she has a little bro that's perfectly self-sufficient so she's got all this big sister energy and no where to channel it. And I could see Lucy being able to totally figure out who Emmeline likes and being like "Ask him out! Kiss him! You guys are gonna get married!" What do you think?
Nathan & Emmeline Ah, love this idea! This is def my favorite. I see them getting along very well... when Nate isn't talking too much! He seems like the kind of guy who can be in a heated debate one moment and then switch to grabbing lunch as friends, and Em is so not like that haha. She'd def get annoyed at him having to have the last word and mock him for being childish, telling him that he's graduating soon so it's time to start acting like more of an adult while he tries to loosen her up. But, she'd also look up to him, I think. If she lost a debate to him, I could see her pouting for a while until he makes her laugh and then getting over it. I could also see them as the quiet study partners, sitting in the common room or library just enjoying silent companionship while they work.
What do you think?

Yeah, I struggled to come up with a way Greg and Em could interact regularly without Em just walking off. I like how the threads could go, but we do need a way to keep them from walking off. So! I like the idea of them getting paired up for a project. Perhaps they've been assigned as potions partners, and Em, being the type of person she is, demanded regular meetings so they can be ready for class? Or, they could be assigned some duties together for a committee? Would Em ever join something like the Events committee? If not, we can do the class thing.
The other two sound brilliant! Love it, and can't wait to get some threads going! <3

Mmmm probably not with Events club, can't see her having time for 'such frivolities' haha. She's in Advanced Arithmancy Club, Charms Club, and Slug Club, because they have bearing on her abilities/social status. I think our best bet is the school project idea, because that will force them to interact.
Btw, just reread Greg's profile- have I mentioned yet how much I love him? He sounds so fun! Is there any particular direction you wanna take him? Cuz I'm very open about plotting ideas, so if you need a character as a tool to help anything along, I'm def down =)
