M BAGMAN, OTTO ____. H/5th
Okay, so I have two ideas for Otto and I can’t decide which one I like best, so I’m going to outline them both and the lovely and awesome person who maybe chooses Otto someday can pick. <3
I feel like no matter what Otto probably loves muggles and charms. He eventually gets in trouble for charming out a muggle lawn mower. Arthur Weasley gets him out the mess, and then Ludo gives Arthur quidditch world cup tickets for his trouble! The playby could go either way. Otto could favour the Bagman family and be blonde and blue eyed like Ludo, or he could favour his mum’s side, the McKinnons, and have brown hair and blue eyes. He’s a pureblood.
Idea 1
Otto is sort of the outsider amongst his cousins. He’s quiet, conscientious, not really into quidditch... He’s just the complete opposite of his loud and boisterous brother and cousins. To the point where people are somewhat shocked when they find out he’s Ludo’s brother. Just an all around very rules orientated person, who can’t abide by Ollie’s drug making in the potions labs, or Ludo’s obsession with quidditch and nothing else, or Marlene’s wild tendencies.
Idea 2
This one would make self-absorbed Ludo the outsider in the Bagman/McKinnon clan. Otto could be more like Olivia and Marlene, and both sets of parents. Very interested in the Order [instead of concentrating solely on when his next quidditch match is], stands up for truth, love, justice, etc. Still probably a bit quieter than the girls and Ludo, but not such a goody-goody, professor’s pet, always in the library type.
M LESTRANGE, RABASTAN ____. S/5th
Uhm, mostly I think it would be fun to have a Rabastan. No ideas, just someone Rodolphus can either boss around and treat like an annoyance, or show the DE ropes... It would depend on Rodolphus’ mood that day.
M TRAVERS, ____ ____. S/7th
Okay, so, Travers is the DE who strolls into the McKinnon home in July of 1981 with a bunch of other DEs and magically shoots the place up. He gets Marlene, her sister Olivia, their parents, and Ludo and Otto Bagman’s mother. No McKinnon is safe, it’s canon that everyone in that family dies thanks to Travers.
So, I want there to be a history there before Travers decides to kill a whole family and then go on his merry little way.
I’m not entirely sure on the details, but basically Travers is kind of batshit insane, and for whatever reason has decided he hates the McKinnons. You’d have to discuss any bullying of Olivia with Jillian, but Marlene is available and would probably take the brunt of the hate. Since he’s a DE and a purist, there’s no doubt that he would pick on lots of students, but he especially hates the McKinnons. I don’t know, you can pick why he hates them. Maybe he just hates that the whole blood traiter, filthy blood thing. Maybe he doesn’t like Marlene’s face, attitude, or that she’s not scared of him. Maybe he does like her face, but daddy dearest would never stand for that, so he overcompensates by being a bully. Or maybe he’s just insane and the McKinnons happen to be there to hate on. I DON’T KNOW, YOU PICK.
I think it probably started small. Mocking of the blood status thing. Marlene would never go running to a professor for that. Then it escalated with shoves or hexes in the hallway. Threatening glances or whatever. Finally, Marlene is convinced to go to McGonagall, and Travers gets detention, but only ups the abuse. So Marlene is convinced the staff has no control over him and just sort of deals with it. It would depend on the day, her mood. Insult her family and she’ll snap, but sometimes she’d manage to ignore him. They’re very antagonistic towards each other. He gets her going with his purist nonsense, she deals with the situation in a typical Gryffindor manner and laughs at him all, ‘I’m not scared of you. Try something, I dare you.’ This infuriates him.
He probably promises all the time that one day “her kind” will be wiped off the planet, and she laughs because whatevs. Typical Tuesday for Travers and his bullshit. Of course, Travers gets the last laugh. D:<
